Red Cross Wilderness & Remote First Aid 20 Hour Course

Red Cross Wilderness & Remote First Aid Course Information Sheet
This 20 hour course includes all the information of the standard Red Cross First Aid course plus CPR & AED. It also includes special materials that relates to the wilderness and remote locations. It prepares you to provide care for up to 24 hours.

Course Outline
This course takes place both inside and outside of the classroom, and uses scenarios with real people and realistic dummies to provide realistic training. You don’t need any pre-training to do this course as we start at the beginning, but some outdoor experience is an advantage. As the course progresses, you will learn:

To keep costs low, food is not included on this course. MRE can be made available at an additional charge.

Cost: $282.50 (includes all applicable taxes). A 25% deposit is required to hold your place, with the balance payable 8 weeks before the course start. If the balance is not paid by this time, the reservation will be treated as cancelled by the client. Client cancellations earlier than 6 weeks before the start of the course will be refunded in full, subject to a $50 administration charge. For cancellations later than 6 weeks before the beginning of the course, no refund can be given. However, in the good spirit of bushcraft, if we can fill your place we will refund your payment (less the administration charge) at anytime. In the event of a School in the Woods cancellation, all fees paid will be fully refunded.

Duration: 2 days.

Location: Norval or Bracebridge, Ontario.

Timing: Please arrive between 30 and 60 minutes prior to the start of the program to complete administration requirements. Thank you.
